Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives and business priorities.
Monitor milestones, deliverables, and budgets to ensure conformance, escalating risks where necessary.
Support delivery teams by following up with internal stakeholders (e.g., procurement, finance, IT) to resolve blockers that may delay progress.
Maintain comprehensive project records, documentation, and reporting in line with governance requirements.
Coordinate across multiple projects to identify dependencies, manage inter-team communication, and maintain momentum.
Provide timely progress updates and recommendations to management to ensure informed decision-making.
Contribute to continuous improvement of project management frameworks, tools, and delivery processes.
Consolidate and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the T&I portfolio, maintaining a centralized view of progress and outcomes.
Work closely with Finance to monitor and reconcile CapEx, OpEx, and amendments, ensuring accurate forecasting, budget utilization, and compliance with approved allocations.
Prepare cost performance reports and support financial analysis (NPV, IRR, ROI, Payback, DCF, etc.) to evaluate project and portfolio value.
Follow up on Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders with Procurement and external vendors, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in alignment with project needs.
Maintain and oversee T&I repositories, ensuring proper control, storage, and accessibility of documentation, contracts, and project data.
Support the development of the annual T&I business plan and budget, aligning resource requirements with strategic priorities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in program, portfolio, or project management roles within technology, innovation, or large-scale transformation projects.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating complex initiatives across multiple teams and functions.
- Experience working with procurement, finance, or corporate support functions to resolve delivery constraints.
- Prior experience in large organizations or government-related entities is advantageous.
Skills:
- >7 years working with technology projects in a mining or processing environment
- Experience in developing project scope, business case, and feasibility assessments
- Strong program and project management capabilities with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
- Proficiency in tracking project progress using project management tools and systems (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, anticipate challenges, and drive practical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated passion for technology and continuous improvement
- Experience in developing and implementing strategies to foster the right culture within a team with measurable outcomes
- High level of written and verbal communication in English (Arabic desirable).
