The Role

As Principal, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for a prestigious British curriculum school.

• Lead ongoing school improvement through rigorous, data-informed self-evaluation.

• Ensure operational and financial efficiency and accountability.

• Provide inspirational, visible, and transformational leadership for all staff and students.

• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

• Maintain exceptional standards of student achievement, attainment, and behaviour for learning.

• Monitor and evaluate all performance aspects, including the quality of teaching and learning.

• Foster a culture of high expectations, professional trust and collective responsibility.

• Ensure robust safeguarding and pastoral systems that enable all students to thrive.

• Promote the school locally and internationally, strengthening its reputation and community partnerships.

• Champion the UAE educational priorities and contribute meaningfully to Dubai s educational vision.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• QTS and a relevant first degree.

• Master s in Education, NPQH or equivalent senior leadership qualification.

• 10 12 years experience in education, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.

• Significant experience in high-performing British curriculum schools.

• Evidence of sustained professional development in school leadership.

• A proven track record of raising standards and maximising outcomes for all learners.

• Strong experience in staff development, coaching, and effective delegation.

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Alignment with the Kings Education values and ethos.

Desirable

• Prior leadership experience in the UAE or wider GCC, with knowledge of the cultural and regulatory context.

• Prior experience leading Emirati education.

• Experience leading a through-school (FS Year 13) or within a multi-phase setting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Deep knowledge of the English National Curriculum, assessment and data analysis.

• Strong understanding of UK and UAE education legislation and regulatory frameworks.

• Expertise in whole-school evaluation and inspection frameworks (DSIB/Ofsted).

• Ability to lead effectively in a climate of growth, change, and innovation.

• Strong operational and financial leadership capability.

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

• High levels of emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Ability to empower, influence, and inspire all members of the community.
