Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver multiple geotechnical design projects in parallel in coordination with the Technical Director and Regional Geotechnical leadership
  • Act as the primary technical interface with clients, approving authorities, and key stakeholders to secure design approvals
  • Provide technical supervision and leadership for complex geotechnical engineering works, including soil-structure interaction analysis
  • Develop project-specific geotechnical design criteria, parameters, and design philosophies
  • Undertake advanced geotechnical analyses using finite element and numerical modelling tools such as PLAXIS and GeoStudio
  • Review, independently check, and sign off geotechnical design deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with international and local standards including Eurocode 7, BS, AASHTO, FHWA, and UAE authority requirements
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, technical reports, design memoranda, and risk assessments suitable for procurement and construction
  • Define scopes and specifications for ground investigations and support commercial and technical evaluations
  • Review supplier submissions, reports, and bids and provide technical recommendations
  • Support construction teams with technical clarifications, site support, and resolution of unforeseen ground conditions
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop geotechnical engineers and technical staff, including performance reviews and development planning
  • Support recruitment, staffing, and technical resourcing activities within the geotechnical team

Desired Candidate Profile

Ideal Profile

Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer, or equivalent professional registration

Bachelor s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with extensive experience on large-scale infrastructure projects

Strong client-facing experience with approving authorities and stakeholders in the UAE

Skills Set

Minimum 12 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with at least 8 years in design roles

Minimum 2 years of professional experience working on projects in the UAE

Advanced expertise in geotechnical analysis and modelling software such as PLAXIS 2D/3D, GeoStudio, and related tools

Strong knowledge of ground investigation planning, execution, and interpretation

Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

Master s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is an advantage
