Roles & Responsibilities

The Role

As Primary Librarian, you'll play a pivotal role in developing an engaging and resourceful library space where students can explore, research, and grow.

You will:
Ensure a vibrant and engaging library environment that encourages students to read and explore.
Oversee the daily operations of the Primary School Library, including book lending, cataloging, and resource maintenance.
Maintain a diverse and engaging collection of books and digital resources aligned with the English National Curriculum and student interests.
Support teachers and students by providing research guidance and educational resources.
Promote information literacy skills and independent learning through library programs and activities.
Foster inquiry-based learning by equipping students with essential information literacy and research skills.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a passionate and innovative librarian who:
Has strong organisational and digital literacy skills
Is familiar with library cataloguing systems and is able to integrate technology and digital tools into library services
Is proactive, conscientious and able to focus on completing multiple tasks to a consistently high standard
Continually strives for improvement
Can work independently but is a strong team plating, willing to assist and be flexible
