Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop detailed technical and commercial proposals for equipment in energy, petrochemical, oil, and industrial tendering & projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to determine accurate pricing and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary data for proposal development.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
- Review and interpret tender documents, contracts, and bid requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotations and evaluate their technical and commercial offers.
- Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and value engineering options for proposals.
- Support negotiations with clients and partners by providing technical clarifications and justifications for pricing.
- Maintain and update proposal documentation, pricing databases, and historical cost records.
- Assist in post-bid reviews and lessons learned sessions to continuously improve proposal processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
- 1-2 years of experience in pricing, proposals, or cost estimation within Power Generation Plants, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.
- Solid knowledge of industrial equipment, such as: Pumps Compressors Blowers Valves Boilers Turbines - Balance of Plant (BoP).
- Experience in preparing technical and commercial offers and reviewing tender specifications (RFQs / RFPs)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Sales, Technical, and Procurement teams
- Very good English (written & spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of engineering or pricing software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to project estimation and proposals.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
