Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and implement pre-commissioning strategies and plans for pipeline projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements. Oversee the execution of pre-commissioning activities, including cleaning, gauging, hydrostatic testing, and drying of pipelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and schedules. Manage and coordinate pre-commissioning teams, including contractors and subcontractors, providing clear direction, training, and performance evaluations. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to minimize potential hazards during pre-commissioning activities, ensuring a safe working environment. Prepare and review pre-commissioning procedures, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs), ensuring compliance with industry best practices and project specifications. Monitor progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular reports on pre-commissioning activities, highlighting any issues and recommending corrective actions. Liaise with project stakeholders, including engineering, construction, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of pre-commissioning activities into the overall project schedule. Manage the procurement of pre-commissioning equipment, materials, and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Ensure all pre-commissioning activities are conducted in accordance with relevant environmental regulations and company policies. Participate in project close-out activities, including the preparation of final pre-commissioning reports and handover documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent. Holds relevant certifications such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. Demonstrates a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on pipeline projects. Exhibits strong knowledge of pipeline pre-commissioning processes, including cleaning, gauging, hydrostatic testing, and drying. Possesses a proven track record of successfully managing and executing pre-commissioning activities on large-scale pipeline projects. Displays excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively. Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Exhibits proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and pipeline simulation software. Demonstrates a commitment to safety and environmental protection, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and best practices. Candidates with experience working on international projects and proficiency in multiple languages are preferred.
