Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise plumbing teams on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Coordinate and supervise plumbing installations, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to troubleshoot plumbing issues, providing timely solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Manage and mentor a team of plumbers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and team cohesion.
- Review project blueprints and specifications to plan plumbing layouts, determining necessary materials and resources effectively.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that all plumbing supplies and tools are stocked and organized for optimal workflow.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless coordination and progress on multi-trade projects.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and material requisitions.
- Ensure all plumbing work is completed to high standards of quality, performing final inspections and addressing any deficiencies.
- Implement and promote safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and cost estimation for plumbing projects, providing input on labor and material costs to keep projects within financial targets.
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing work to guarantee compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Train and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer within the team.
- Manage inventory of plumbing supplies, ensuring that materials are available and properly stored to avoid project delays.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues on-site, employing problem-solving skills to minimize downtime.
- Schedule and oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Promote a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration and open communication among team members.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required for a Construction Company in UAE:
- Holds Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a building contracting company in G.C.C.
- Professional in reading drawings and management of manpower on site.
- Fluent In English.
