Roles & Responsibilities

Planning and Scheduling Engineer

The EPC Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing project schedules for large-scale downstream petrochemical projects within an EPC framework. This role involves close coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure efficient execution of project deliverables in alignment with timelines and budget. Experience with Saudi Aramco projects is highly desirable.


  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules (Level 1–4) using Primavera P6.
  • Monitor progress, update schedules, and generate reports (S-curves, histograms, earned value, etc.).
  • Perform critical path and risk analysis and recommend schedule recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Lead planning meetings with stakeholders, including Saudi Aramco representatives.
  • Align schedule management with project controls procedures and PMP best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years of EPC project planning experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical (Downstream) sectors.
  • PMP Certified (Project Management Institute).
  • Primavera P6 Certified with extensive hands-on experience.
  • Proven track record of planning and scheduling Saudi Aramco projects.
  • Fluent in English (speaking & writing).
  • Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) and project control methodologies.
  • Able to work in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
