Job Title: Planning & Billing Engineer Tankages

Department: Project Management / Engineering

Location: Jordan, Aqaba (Middle East- Arab)

Reports To: Construction Manager / Project Controls Lead

Duty Hours: 10hrs/6 days working.

Job Purpose:

To ensure efficient planning, scheduling, and billing operations for the successful execution of a 30,000 MT ammonia storage tank project including supply, detailed engineering, and installation phases. The role demands meticulous control over timelines, cost tracking, and contract billing in accordance with project standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules (Level 1 to Level 4) using MS Project or Primavera, covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, and erection milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to track progress and identify deviations from baseline schedules.
• Prepare and review client and subcontractor bills in line with contractual terms and BOQ provisions.
• Conduct joint measurements, certification of quantities, and documentation of progress with client representatives.
• Analyze quantity variations, maintain billing logs, and update running account bills and final bills Month wise materials reconciliation.
• Billing projections for internal and client reporting.
• Assist in preparing and verifying billing break-ups, extra items/variation statements, and claims.
• Maintain up-to-date records of project deliverables and progress against plan.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports, delay analysis, and productivity reviews.
• Ensure coordination between site, engineering, and commercial teams for seamless flow of information.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of ammonia tank construction methodology including:
• Cryogenic Tanks Fabrication and Installation and Sequence of the job.
• Insulation systems
• Foundation and civil interface coordination and Tiein with the existing plant,
• Foreign Experience / Willing to travel and work Outside india
• Familiarity with project cost control principles
• Familiarity with ASME, API 620/650, and relevant welding & erection codes.
• Experience in multinational or joint venture project setups
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, and billing-related tools.
• Hands-on experience in BOQ analysis, rate analysis, measurement norms, and contract billing.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills; ability to liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Sound documentation skills and experience in managing EPC or LSTK project billing cycles.

Education & Experience:

• Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience:
• 7-12 years total experience in planning & billing of tankage/mechanical works
• Minimum 2 years in cryogenic/ammonia tankage or refrigerated liquid storage projects preferred
• Exposure to EPC/EPCM contract environments is an added advantage
