Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review piping design and layouts based on process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and engineering specifications.
Select appropriate piping materials and components considering process conditions, corrosion, and pressure ratings.
Perform stress analysis and ensure compliance with relevant codes (ASME, ANSI, API, ISO).
Coordinate with process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to resolve design issues and ensure integration.
Prepare piping isometrics, material take-offs (MTO), and bill of materials (BOM).
Review vendor drawings, datasheets, and ensure procurement specifications meet project requirements.
Support construction and commissioning teams by providing technical guidance and resolving onsite issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in piping design and engineering, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, CAESAR II, and other relevant tools.
Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, API, ISO).
Understanding of corrosion mechanisms, material selection, and welding standards.
Experience in stress analysis and pipe support design.
