Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients, including administering medications, treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Perform thorough assessments and continuously monitor patients’ conditions, responding rapidly to any changes.
  • Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures, therapeutic treatments, and emergency interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, care plans, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Educate and support patients’ families regarding the child’s condition, treatment plan, and home care instructions.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and care planning.
  • Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education specific to pediatric critical care.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
  • Valid nursing license and registration with the local health authority.
  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric critical care or intensive care setting.
