Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collect blood samples from patients using proper techniques to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Label and document blood samples accurately to maintain chain of custody and prevent mix-ups.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients about the blood draw process, addressing any concerns or anxieties they may have.
  • Handle and process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring they are transported and stored correctly.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after the procedure, providing immediate care if necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, promptly reporting any shortages or issues to the supervisor.
