Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques for precise assessments.
- Perform surgical procedures such as dental implants, bone grafting, and soft tissue management to restore function and aesthetics, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, considering their overall health and specific oral conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and the use of other oral health aids, to prevent disease recurrence.
- Provide non-surgical periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing, to remove plaque and calculus and promote gum health.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to provide integrated patient care, coordinating treatment plans for optimal results.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completed a three-year residency program in periodontics, demonstrating specialized training in the field.
- Holds a valid license to practice dentistry and periodontics in the specific state or region.
- Certified by the American Board of Periodontology, signifying a commitment to excellence and expertise.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in periodontics, showcasing practical application of knowledge.
