Job Description

The People Specialist focusing on Offboarding is a crucial role within our human resources department, dedicated to ensuring a smooth and efficient transition process for employees exiting the organization. This role involves managing all aspects of employee offboarding, including conducting exit interviews, communicating with various departments to ensure the return of company property, and coordinating the finalization of benefits and pay. A successful People Specialist must have exceptional organizational skills, a profound understanding of employment laws, and a compassionate approach to handling personnel transitions. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and act as a trustworthy liaison between the company and departing employees. The position requires proficiency in utilizing HR information systems and an ability to work collaboratively with other HR professionals to continually improve the offboarding process.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed exit interviews to gather insightful feedback from departing employees.
  • Ensure timely communication between departments for seamless offboarding operations.
  • Facilitate the retrieval and return of company equipment and property.
  • Coordinate with payroll to finalize employee compensation and benefits adjustments.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate offboarding documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to manage access deactivation for exiting staff.
  • Analyze exit interview data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and address offboarding with professionalism and empathy.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers on matters related to employee departures.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all aspects of the offboarding process.
  • Regularly review and improve company offboarding policies and procedures.
  • Provide departing employees with necessary information on post-employment resources.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in human resources or related roles.
  • Deep understanding of employment laws and offboarding best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience with HR software and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
