Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform complex surgical procedures on infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring the highest standards of care and precision.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patients' health and suitability for surgery, addressing any potential risks.
  • Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic technologies to accurately identify surgical issues and plan interventions.
  • Monitor post-operative recovery, ensuring patients are healing properly and addressing any complications promptly.
  • Educate families about surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and refine surgical approaches.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric surgery through continuous education and professional development.
  • Maintain meticulous surgical records and documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Engage in research initiatives to advance pediatric surgical practices and improve patient outcomes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with a focus on pediatric surgery from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a residency in general surgery followed by a fellowship in pediatric surgery.
  • Board certification in pediatric surgery, demonstrating specialized knowledge and competence.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric surgical settings, showcasing a proven track record.
  • Familiarity with the latest surgical techniques and technologies specific to pediatric cases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a cohesive healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus for diverse patient interactions.
