Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled developer to integrate a D200 mPOS device with a GPE 30 vending machine and connect it to Thawani, a local payment gateway in Oman. The goal is to enable secure, cashless transactions directly from the vending machine using Thawani’s API. This project includes initial integration, testing, and long-term support for updates and troubleshooting.

Desired Candidate Profile

Phase 1: Integration & Deployment - Review technical documentation for D200 mPOS and Thawani API - Establish secure communication between the D200 device and Thawani’s gateway - Configure the GPE 30 vending machine to trigger and process payments via D200 - Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and local data protection standards - Conduct functional testing and assist with deployment in Oma

Phase 2: Ongoing Support (Contractual) - Provide on-call technical support for troubleshooting and updates - Maintain compatibility with Thawani’s evolving API and firmware updates - Offer performance optimization and bug fixes as needed - Advise on future scalability or multi-device rollouts

Required Skills: - Experience with payment gateway integration (preferably Thawani or similar) - Familiarity with mPOS devices (D200 or equivalent) - Knowledge of vending machine protocols and embedded systems (GPE 30 preferred) - Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, encryption, and secure transaction flows - Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in English (Arabic is a plus)

Location: Remote work is acceptable, but preference will be given to developers familiar with Omani fintech regulations or based in the GCC region.

Timeline: - Immediate start for integration phase - Long-term support contract to be negotiated after successful deployment
