Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Patient Care Lead/ Manager will manage patient support program(s) and oversee the daily operations of these programs, ensuring efficient and effective support for patients seeking access to healthcare. The job holder is required to help represent Axios in daily meetings with patients, doctors and carry out administrative duties which will be both field and office-based. The ultimate purpose of this role is to expand access strategies among the globe to maximize patient medical benefits



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage patient support program(s) by liaising with Clients, as well as institutions including hospitals, insurance, NGO s, physicians, nurses and patients.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of program liaisons, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and improvements
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PAPs, ensuring timely and accurate processing of patient applications and support requests.
  • Ensure the team provides compassionate and effective support to patients, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Implement and monitor operational procedures to maintain efficiency and quality of service.
  • Conduct field visits to meet with healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Balance office-based tasks with fieldwork to ensure comprehensive management of patient support programs.
  • Prepare timely monitoring reports (monthly) with patient numbers and logistics as well as quality assurance reports for internal review. This includes monitoring and tracking patient files in collaboration with Axios staff in real-time as patients proceed through the program(s).
  • Maintain and update electronic program files, including patient and quality assurance data.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent Axios in daily meetings with patients and doctors, acting as the primary point of contact for patient support matters.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for program improvement and expansion.
  • Assist in developing and managing the relationship with the Government as well as key national and international stakeholders in the country.
  • Represent Axios at meetings and conferences.
  • Develop and manage program budgets.
  • Attending and completing Pharmacovigilance, Pharma and Product Training provided by the Client with a clear understanding of how to collect and report safety data.
  • Reporting any adverse events/product complaints as per client s requirements and/or Axios SOPPs.
  • Conduct administrative duties for the office.

  • Conduct all program activities through exclusive use of Axios Patient Management System (PMS).
  • Ensure strong understanding and implementation for international standards and applicable polices related to Axios offering and services
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations and Axios code of conduct
  • Ensure to empower the awareness related to escalation for deviation and non-compliance

  • Support and monitor the governance for all Axios operations
  • Additional duties as required.

Relationships

  • Reporting to the Regional Operations Lead.
  • Line Management responsibility for junior staff and program resources.
  • Develop good relations with the Government, clients and key stakeholders. Work with partners such as governmental agencies, pharmaceutical companies, NGOs, political affiliations, and communities.
  • Work with fellow Program Managers as well as the various divisions of Axios.
  • Maintain ongoing and frequent communication with Axios regional and global staff.

Educational Background and Experience

  • Degree in Nursing or Health health-related discipline
  • At least 2-5 years of professional experience working in nursing and/or the healthcare sector
  • Written and spoken fluency in English
  • Strong IT skills with experience in database design and management (Excel)

Job Circumstances


  • The position is based in our regional office, and it does entail frequent travel to Clients and partners, which may be outside your designated region
  • Flexibility in the ability to travel as well as working hours
