A Patient Care Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the healthcare system, focusing on ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and continuous care during their healthcare journey. - Advocate for patient needs regarding quality management and service delivery.
Requirements
- Associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field required.
- Minimum of two years experience in patient care coordination or similar roles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multi-discipline communications.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other healthcare software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are highly needed.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws is mandatory.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a patient-centered approach are essential.
