Posting Title: Kitchen Maintenance Manager Industry: Repair / Maintenance Services Salary: AED 15,000 Work Experience: 4 5 years Summary: We are looking for a Maintenance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, safety, and longevity of commercial kitchen equipment and infrastructure within high-volume food service environments for one of our leading client in Sharjah. This position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, repair, and preventive care activities for kitchen systems, including cooking appliances, ventilation, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units. The ideal candidate will lead a skilled maintenance team, implement cost-effective maintenance strategies, and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. With a strong focus on operational efficiency, downtime reduction, and asset lifecycle management, the Kitchen Maintenance Manager directly contributes to food safety, service continuity, and overall business performance. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic cost control to maintain optimal kitchen functionality across multiple sites or facilities. Responsibilities: Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and support staff in kitchen maintenance operations. Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan. Conduct regular inspections and audits of kitchen equipment and systems to identify potential failures and implement corrective actions. Manage emergency repair requests promptly to ensure minimal disruption to kitchen operations. Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Implement cost control measures by optimizing spare parts inventory, negotiating vendor contracts, and reducing energy and resource consumption. Ensure full compliance with local health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations (including Dubai Municipality and DHA requirements). Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and service history using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or equivalent software. Collaborate with kitchen management, operations, and procurement teams to align maintenance plans with business needs and seasonal demands. Prepare and present monthly performance reports on equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Requirements Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred); equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of 4 5 years of progressive experience in kitchen maintenance or facilities management within commercial food service environments. Proven track record in managing a maintenance department, including team leadership, performance management, and workflow optimization. In-depth technical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, refrigeration units, exhaust hoods, and plumbing systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments and with external vendors. Demonstrated expertise in cost control, budgeting, and resource optimization within maintenance operations. Proficiency in CMMS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital documentation systems. Valid UAE driving license and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Experience working in high-volume kitchens (e.g., hotels, restaurants, catering services, or institutional food facilities) is highly preferred. Additional Notes: This role requires hands-on involvement and on-site presence for troubleshooting and supervision.
