Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Take on the role of consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with diseases affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and neck. You'll work with patients of all ages in a rewarding field where treatment to someone's face can make a huge difference to their quality of life. Responsibilities include performing emergency and scheduled treatments, maintaining patient records, as well as providing suitable aftercare instructions and recommendations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing biopsies to determine whether tumors or growths are cancerous.
- Administering local, regional, or general anesthetics to patients before surgeries.
- Surgically removing tumors and abnormal growths of the oral and maxillofacial areas.
- Adjusting patients' jaws to provide increased functionality, comfort, and symmetry.
- Removing impacted wisdom teeth and buried dental roots.
- Performing reconstructive surgery to treat congenital defects, structural abnormalities, and injuries.
- Preparing patients' mouths for dental implants.
- Collaborating with various healthcare specialists to create suitable treatment plans for patients.
- Informing patients of their diagnoses and discussing appropriate treatment options with them.
Desired Candidate Profile
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- American Board/MRCPCH-Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/ Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy / SCR Holland/Swedish Board/German Fachartz/Austrian Fachartz/CCST UK/Saudi Board/Arab Board & sub board/ Fellowship
- Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
- Min. 2-3 years Post Board/Fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.

- Positive professional references attesting to the candidate's skills and ethical conduct.
