Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS APS DBA with a strong background in the banking sector to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle Applications, database administration, and application performance support (APS), with the ability to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with banking standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12) environments.
  • Provide Application Performance Support (APS) and troubleshoot functional and technical issues.
  • Perform database cloning, patching, upgrades, migrations, and backups in production and non-production environments.
  • Manage concurrent managers, workflow administration, and system security within Oracle EBS.
  • Monitor and tune database and application performance for optimal response times.
  • Support disaster recovery (DR) planning, implementation, and testing.
  • Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and banking operations teams to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Ensure compliance with banking IT policies, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and other advanced Oracle technologies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 3 years supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12).
  • Proven APS (Application Performance Support) experience in a production banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux scripting, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with patch management, cloning, backup/recovery, and high availability setups.
  • Familiarity with banking systems, interfaces, and data flows.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Cloud (OCI), or GoldenGate.
  • Exposure to Core Banking Systems (e.g., Flexcube, Temenos, Finacle) integration.
  • Understanding of banking security and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Proactive attitude toward system improvement and automation.
  • Team player with effective communication and documentation skills.
  • DBA, Lead DBA, or Support DBA)
