Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Database Administration
    Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Applications (EBS R12) and Oracle databases.
    Perform database cloning, patching, migrations, and backup/recovery using RMAN and Data Guard.
    Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, availability, and security issues.
  • Application Administration
    Administer Oracle E-Business Suite (11i, R12) including concurrent managers, workflow, forms, and reports.
    Manage application users, responsibilities, and security configurations.
    Support integrations with other systems and ensure application stability.
  • Performance & Tuning
    Perform performance tuning of Oracle databases, applications, and concurrent requests.
    Monitor database growth, capacity planning, and optimize resources.
  • High Availability & DR
    Implement and maintain Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
    Ensure 24x7 uptime for production systems with proactive monitoring and alerting.
  • Maintenance & Support
    Apply patches and critical updates for both database and applications.
    Troubleshoot application/database-related incidents and provide root cause analysis.
    Work with development teams to support customizations, deployments, and upgrades.
  • Collaboration & Documentation
    Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve application issues.
    Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base.
    Support audits, compliance, and security requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Apps DBA.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 (administration, patching, cloning).
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c, RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix OS administration for Oracle environments.
  • Strong skills in database backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in performance tuning (SQL, PL/SQL, AWR, ASH, ADDM).
  • Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic Server and middleware technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) / Oracle Apps DBA Certification.
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or hybrid environments.
  • Exposure to database security, auditing, and compliance standards (GDPR, SOX).
