Position Objectives:

Implement and drive optimization initiatives to continuously improve service quality and experience for a nationwide private LTE network

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing, driving, and overseeing LTE network optimization initiatives across all network domains (Radio Access, Backhaul, Core, Transport) to improve network and service quality.
• Identify areas of improvement in performance and develop optimization action plans.
• Review network feature configurations and recommend optimization actions targeting end-user performance improvement measured by KPIs and KQIs.
• Monitor and review optimization actions on the STC commercial network shared infrastructure to ensure no negative impact on private LTE network service quality.
• Oversee trials and pilot implementations of new features or functionality, analyzing and reporting on before/after results.
• Take the lead in managing the implementation of complex features that require unique design and configuration for the private LTE network, collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure risks are identified and mitigate,d and required actions are coordinated across all relevant functions.
• Analyse and interpret a variety of measurement data from the available tools (OSS, UPM, drive test, scanner, network probe,s and other sources) to identify root causes of degraded performance.
• Recommend improved methodologies for increasing the efficiency of optimization activities targeting rapid performance improvement for end-users of the private LTE network.
• Perform drive test (DT) analysis and parameter tuning and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
• Perform network performance analysis and optimization planning in preparation for special events such as Hajj, Ramadan, Royal VIP seminars, and major public events.
• Monitor, escalate, and coordinate resolution of interference issues impacting MCN site performance.
• Device capability assessment and performance analysis using Log Tool /Geolocation.
• Manage MCN IBS site configuration and feature activation, while coordinating with DAS (Distributed Antenna System) vendors for integration, deployment, and issue resolution.
• Ensure service performance monitoring and optimization in areas covered by MCN COWs (Cells on Wheels) connected via VSAT, addressing any service degradation proactively.
• Oversee coverage provided by existing COWs utilizing MOCN (Multi-Operator Core Network), ensuring delivery on a best-effort basis.
• Act as the interface between the Customer help desk function and the Operations function to track, categorize and prioritize customer complaint investigations.
• Collaborating with the Technology Performance Team, coordinate customer complaint investigations for LTE private network complaints, following up to ensure successful outcomes within specified timescales and SLAs.
• Prepare reports on customer complaint status, actions taken and improvement results, ensuring timely feedback to the Customer help desk function.
• Prepare regular reports on optimization recommendations, actions plans, actions taken and improvements achieved in terms of KPIs and KQIs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Telecommunications or Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of documented professional experience either within an Operator or Vendor organization, with at least 3 years in senior network optimization positions.
• Deep technical knowledge and understanding of end-to-end network performance and optimization processes for large 4G/5G mobile networks.
• Excellent management and inter-personal skills, and well-experienced in working in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
• Proficient in MS Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision).
