Advanced Metal Industries Co. (AMIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee and Cristal.

Tasnee, signed a joint venture agreement with Japan’s Toho Titanium Company in January 2014 to build the SAR 1. 6 billion project. The titanium sponge project is the region’s first of its type to produce 15,600 tons of pure titanium. The company has sent 69 Saudi engineers to train for two years in Japan on producing pure titanium.

An exciting opportunity is available for (Operator III, Electrolysis B) based in Yanbu - KSA.

Who will report directly to the Manager, Operations.

Summary:

The Electrolysis Operator carries out all activities associated with the electrolysis part of the Titanium Sponge production process. This encompasses operating plants within set parameters and monitoring production workflow to assure quality, as well as monitoring and recording routine production data. The operator will also undertake routine tasks in support of the process e. g. routine plant set-up and adjustments, and handling plant problems and equipment failures following established procedures. Operators will also carry out simple routine maintenance tasks.

In this role, you will be responsible of:

• Maintain oversight of the electrolysis process and take corrective action as necessary.
• Ensure appropriate Storage and management of raw materials for the electrolysis process (e. g. Mg, Cl2).
• Preparation, transfer and tapping of the electrolyte, Mg and MgCl2.
• Follow and ensure compliance with safe work practices.  Maintain clean, orderly, and safe workplace.
• Operate process according to established procedures.
• Observe and monitor the process and anticipate problems.
• Monitor equipment performance; prepare operating equipment for maintenance following established procedures.
• Maintain and follow Quality procedures to ensure product quality.
• Communicate equipment/ process issues to colleagues.
• Collect data on equipment/ process malfunctions for appropriate analysis.
• Work in conjunction with all team members to identify, detail and evaluate potential process/equipment improvements that may enhance process, safety and cost reduction.
• Coordinate shift activities with shift supervisor.
• Maintain an exception/ incident log and supporting information.
• Ensure compliance with ATTM Metals Sponge handbook, plant policies and procedures.
• Forklift, crane, and hoist operation as required by the process.
• Safe operation of the electrical supply and recovery procedures.
• Observe and maintain all operational safety / 5S housekeeping practices.
• Other operation related tasks. (Refer to the relevant skill sheet)

Minimum Qualification:

Diploma Level Education and qualification.

Minimum Experience:

0 to 3 Years related experience.
