Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations & Strategic Management
    • Oversee daily operational activities across departments to ensure smooth, efficient production and delivery.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive productivity, cost control, and profitability.
    • Coordinate cross-functional activities between production, finance, R&D, and supply chain teams.
  2. Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Ensure optimal allocation of resources to maintain profitability and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate costing, inventory valuation, and financial compliance.
  3. Supply Chain Management
    • Oversee procurement, inventory control, logistics, and vendor management.
    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
    • Optimize supply chain operations to reduce costs, minimize waste, and improve lead times.
    • Ensure adequate raw material availability for uninterrupted production.
  4. Research & Development (R&D)
    • Supervise R&D activities to drive innovation and new product development.
    • Work closely with the R&D team to ensure products meet market needs, cost targets, and regulatory standards.
    • Evaluate and approve raw material alternatives and process improvements for efficiency and quality.
    • Ensure proper documentation and testing of new recipes, packaging, and formulations.
  5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
    • Ensure all operational processes adhere to local and international food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.).
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain product consistency and safety standards.
    • Support internal and external audits related to operations, finance, and production.
  6. Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, train, and mentor department managers and their teams.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Evaluate performance and implement improvement plans as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum 7 10 years of experience in operations management within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.

Strong knowledge of financial management, supply chain processes, and R&D operations.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Strong understanding of food safety regulations and production standards.

Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
