Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Operations & Fleet Management
- Manage the entire rental fleet including heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, forklifts, cranes) and power generators.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate equipment mobilization and demobilization to and from client sites.
- Monitor equipment utilization, downtime, and maintenance schedules to ensure availability and profitability.
- Coordinate with the sales and project teams to align fleet availability with rental demands.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and transport documentation.
2. Workshop & Maintenance Oversight
- Supervise all workshop operations for preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
- Ensure proper tracking of job cards, service intervals, and spare part usage.
- Work closely with Workshop Managers and Technicians to maintain fleet reliability and reduce breakdowns.
- Oversee maintenance budgets and implement cost control measures.
- Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety and OEM standards.
3. Logistics & Field Operations
- Manage transportation and delivery schedules for equipment mobilization to client sites.
- Ensure timely setup and commissioning of equipment at project locations.
- Coordinate with logistics and site supervisors to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment locations, runtime, and service status.
4. Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead and manage a team of operations coordinators, workshop supervisors, technicians, and drivers.
- Define KPIs for teams and track their performance regularly.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the division.
- Conduct regular training on safety, equipment handling, and operational procedures.
5. Customer Service & Coordination
- Ensure prompt response to client requests, breakdown calls, and service requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with clients for project updates, billing, and service quality.
- Coordinate with the sales and finance teams for contract fulfillment and invoicing accuracy.
- Handle escalated operational issues and ensure quick resolutions.
6. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on fleet utilization, revenue, maintenance costs, and KPIs.
- Monitor operational expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Maintain and update ERP/fleet management systems for real-time operational tracking.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and productivity.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor s degree or diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 12 years of experience in equipment rental operations, with at least 3 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery (Caterpillar, JCB, Komatsu, Volvo) and power generators (Perkins, Cummins, FG Wilson).
- Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, and workshop coordination.
- Working knowledge of ERP/fleet tracking systems.
- Valid Saudi driving license required.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills preferred.
