Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and readily available, minimizing delays during procedures.
  • Act as a crucial member of the surgical team, anticipating the surgeon's needs and providing instruments, sutures, and other materials in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the patient's vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgery, promptly communicating any changes or concerns to the anesthesiologist and surgeon.
  • Maintain a sterile field, adhering to strict aseptic techniques to prevent surgical site infections and ensure patient safety.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, providing a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices.
  • Holds a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, demonstrating legal authorization to practice nursing.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), ensuring the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse, showcasing familiarity with surgical procedures and the operating room environment.
