Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Online Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the shopping experience for customers on our ecommerce platform. Your primary focus will be on managing product placement and categorization, using data and trend analysis to enhance conversion rates and purchase behavior. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and IT, to ensure our online catalog is organized effectively and shows the right products to the right customers. With a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of online consumer behavior, you will contribute to driving online sales growth and enhancing the digital presence of our brand. Your work will ensure that our product offerings are engaging, accurate, and consistent with our brand messaging.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to increase online sales and conversion rates.
- Manage product listings, ensuring accurate descriptions, pricing, and categorization across the website.
- Analyze website and sales data to identify trends and opportunities for merchandising improvements.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities.
- Ensure that the product listing pages are optimized with current and relevant imagery and information.
- Monitor competitor websites to identify and leverage new merchandising practices.
- Work closely with the inventory team to manage stock levels and availability online.
- Use analytics tools to report on product performance and user behavior across the site.
- Coordinate with the IT department to resolve site issues affecting merchandising displays.
- Continuously search for new techniques and technologies to enhance customer engagement online.
- Provide feedback to the product team based on consumer feedback and sales data to guide future product development.
- Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders to review digital merchandising performance and action plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an online merchandiser, ideally within the ecommerce sector.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong understanding of web analytics tools.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms and content management systems is crucial.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for staying ahead of digital retail trends.
