Roles & Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile

Operate and monitor offshore plant equipment in the assigned area according to instructions and QHSE standards.

Interface and communicate with Offshore Production Supervisors, and other Offshore Operators during operations and in emergency situations.

Participate in commissioning and start-up activities as required in accordance with the approved operating procedures.

Monitor the process parameters to sustain production as per instructions and oversee the preparation of the chemical batches, in addition to conducting surveys, checks, leak testing and well testing as per operating procedures.

Perform agreed maintenance tasks as per operating procedures and generate maintenance work orders as required, in addition to conducting periodical verification tests to ensure good working condition of process and safety equipment, reporting any instances of anomalies.

Sign Permit to Works (PTW) and monitor ongoing maintenance jobs, stopping any unsafe permits and activities when required, whilst also overseeing contractors’ activities in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.

Coordinate with Field Maintenance staff for any maintenance work, as well as any other applicable operations staff to troubleshoot and propose changes to ensure safety and continuity of production activities.

Participate in development and revision of operating procedures, standing instructions and other operations related documentations.

Maintain the shift logbook, recording operational status and events, and ensure smooth handover to the following shift Offshore Operator by communicating verbally all-important points of the logbook report.

Conduct all work activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner by not taking on any task(s) that are perceived as unsafe and if in doubt, consults supervisor/manager before proceeding

Diploma in Mech. Engg. / Maintenance.

8 years of relevant experience in a large organization in gas plant and control room operations.
