Roles & Responsibilities

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLETo oversee and execute the administration, coordination, and conduct of English Language Proficiency (ELP) assessments for flight crew members in accordance with General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) CAR Ops regulations and ICAO standards for certification of flight crew licenses.Key ResponsibilitiesConducts ELP assessments for Flight crew as a Linguistic Assessor in accordance with ICAO holistic descriptors (ICAO Doc. 9835), GCAA Regulations, and flydubai s Operations Manual.Supervises and upholds the sanctity of the ELP testing process through meticulous invigilation and oversight of all assessment sessions.Liaises and reports any discrepancy/issues discovered in the test script to test provider for prompt resolution.Serves as a focal point and standardization for all active ELP Assessors.Participates in Internal and GCAA audits related to ELP to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.Anticipates, identifies, and addresses technical anomalies by coordinating with IT services and test developers to mitigate disruptions and maintain assessment continuity.Communicates evaluation results and provides instructions to the candidates on how to raise grievances regarding their assessment.Liaise with Flight Operations Department and other internal departments to ensure seamless communication regarding test results, certification distribution, and compliance with regulatory timelines.Generates comprehensive analytical reports, synthesizing assessment data to provide insights and trends on candidates performance. Provides yearly test statistics to GCAA licensing.Manages organization of test materials, ensuring all documents are prepared for assessment day and administers post-assessment procedures to maintain the integrity of data storage for compliance purposes.Delivers detailed descriptive post assessment summaries for the awarded proficiency levels to internal and external stakeholders.Reviews and evaluates the available external Aviation English Training providers for the candidates who require additional support and remedial training to achieve an operational ELP level or more.Collaborates with the Ground Training to conduct biannual reviews and updates of the Operations Manual Language Assessment Body, ensuring continuous alignment with GCAA regulations, ICAO standards, and company policies.QualificationsBachelor's Degree (3+ years)Degree in English languageFluent in EnglishExperience as a Language translator / English Language teaching / Airline operationsMS OfficeYears with qualifications: 5 - 7 yearsCOMPETENCIESCustomer FocusTeamworkEffective CommunicationPersonal Accountability & Commitment to achieveResilience & Flexibility (Can do attitude)Isr RequirementsReads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team.
