Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures to maintain financial integrity.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation, to maintain smooth cash flow.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, highlighting key performance indicators and variances to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial records to meet deadlines.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations to avoid penalties.
  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts, ensuring proper classification of financial transactions for efficient financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud, promoting financial security.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial data and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required to build a strong foundation of accounting principles.
  • Professional accounting certification (CMA / ACCA Inter, ) is preferred to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the profession.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, showcasing practical application of accounting knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is non-negotiable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for identifying and resolving accounting issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy are vital for maintaining the integrity of financial records.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines is the key to success.
