Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly qualified Occupational Medicine Specialist to provide medical expertise in preventing and managing work-related illnesses & injuries, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. The specialist will work closely with the medical services team to develop and implement occupational health programs, conduct medical examinations, and provide expert guidance to management on employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement occupational health programs to prevent workplace illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct medical examinations: pre-employment, periodic health checks, and return-to-work assessments.
- Provide medical advice to management on employee fitness, accommodations, and workplace health risks.
- Lead health promotion initiatives, wellness campaigns, and employee counseling.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external healthcare providers on occupational health matters.
- Ensure compliance with Qatari regulations and international medical standards.
- Support audits, quality assurance processes, and reporting.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) with specialization in Occupational Medicine.
- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Medicine Specialist in Qatar (including QCHP specialist evaluation & Dataflow for foreign specialists).
- Minimum 7–8 years of experience in Occupational Medicine or related field, with at least 5–6 years in the GCC region.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
Certified Occupational Medicine Specialist (COMS)
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) - Strong expertise in occupational health, medical risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and health promotion.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
