The Nurse Assistant plays an integral part in healthcare teams by offering essential support to nurses and enhancing patient care. Operating under the supervision of registered nurses, Nurse Assistants are responsible for providing basic patient care and assistance with daily activities, ensuring the needs of patients are met promptly and compassionately. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, maintaining their dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the accurate documentation of health data.
• Help in positioning and turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores.
• Provide hygienic care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding assistance.
• Maintain clean and organized patient rooms for a safe environment.
• Aid in transporting patients within the facility, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Support nurses in preparing patients for medical procedures and examinations.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and needs, promoting patient satisfaction.
• Administer basic first aid and notify nurses of patient health changes.
• Respect patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare privacy regulations.
• Engage constructively in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Contribute to patient record-keeping and reporting tasks as directed by nursing staff.

Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Demonstrate CPR and Basic Life Support certification or willingness to obtain.
• Exhibit prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a certified CNA.
• Display excellent communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly.
• Show a compassionate and patient-oriented approach to healthcare provision.
• Possess the physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift patients safely.
