Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As Night Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to the overnight Front Office team, overseeing the smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift. You will ensure guest satisfaction, safety, and security while maintaining the highest service standards. Your role is pivotal in upholding Forbes Five-Star standards by anticipating guest needs, delivering exceptional and memorable experiences from arrival through departure, and ensuring that all team members are empowered, knowledgeable, and fully prepared to create unforgettable stays.

  • Provide refined leadership and oversight of the entire overnight operation, ensuring the seamless delivery of Forbes Five-Star service standards across all guest touchpoints.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all guests, with particular attention to VIPs, ensuring their needs are anticipated and exceeded with discretion and grace.

  • Oversee all night shift operations across departments to ensure smooth hotel operation.

  • Conduct regular property walks to monitor safety, cleanliness, and security.

  • Oversee and complete Night Audit duties with precision, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and operational integrity.

  • Supervise and verify the night audit process, ensuring accurate reporting of daily revenues.

  • Prepare end-of-day financial reports and communicate any discrepancies.

  • Oversee cash handling and ensure correct balances at the end of the shift.

  • Optimize room revenue by thoughtfully maximizing occupancy, applying strategic upselling techniques, and promoting the hotel s signature services and facilities.

  • Uphold strict compliance with the hotel s credit and financial policies, ensuring all transactions including foreign currency, credit cards, and cash are processed with accuracy and security.

  • Represent the Senior Leadership during overnight hours, assuming full responsibility for the hotel s operations and guest experience.

  • Confidently manage, document, and resolve guest concerns, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring discretion, efficiency, and minimal disruption.

  • Maintain an expert knowledge of the hotel s services, amenities, and policies, as well as the local area, to provide insightful and personalized recommendations to guests.

  • Lead and execute all security and emergency protocols with professionalism, safeguarding both guests and colleagues at all times.

  • Deliver comprehensive and polished handovers to the incoming Duty Manager and day team, ensuring continuity of service and operational excellence.

  • Support the ongoing training, coaching, and professional development of the Night Team to cultivate a culture of service excellence and empowerment.

  • Uphold all brand standards when working with front-of-house systems, technology, and guest records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Conduct thorough health, safety, and property inspections, maintaining vigilance across all areas of the hotel to guarantee a pristine and secure environment.

  • Collaborate with and support other departments during overnight operations, fostering teamwork and ensuring consistency of service across the hotel.

Desired Candidate Profile

Previous supervisory experience in Front Office within the hotel/leisure/retail
