JOB PURPOSE:

A dedicated IT Network mission is to contribute profound technical expertise and innovation to ASYADs network infrastructure. With a keen focus on optimizing connectivity, security, and performance, committed to ensuring the seamless operation of the network environment. The purpose is to provide specialized support, troubleshooting, and proactive solutions that align with business objectives and enhance overall efficiency.Aspire to be the cornerstone of ASYADs network operations, leveraging in-depth knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and security measures. Network Configuration and Maintenance:

Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Implement changes to network configurations as needed, following established change management processes.Conduct regular audits of network configurations to identify and rectify discrepancies.Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, providing efficient support to end-users and IT teams.Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify potential problems and address them before they impact operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related challenges.Security Implementation:

Implement and enforce security measures, including network access controls.Stay informed about emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.Collaborate with the security team to respond to and remediate security incidents.Network Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

Deploy and manage network monitoring tools to track performance metrics and analyze trends.Identify opportunities for performance optimization, making recommendations for improvements.Monitor bandwidth usage, latency, and other key performance indicators to ensure optimal network operation.Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and security postures for management and stakeholders.Contribute to the development of comprehensive network documentation for reference and training purposes.Collaboration with IT Teams:

Work collaboratively with other IT teams, providing technical expertise and support for network integration with systems, applications, and infrastructure.Participate in project teams to ensure that network requirements align with overall project goals.Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding network-related initiatives.User Support and Training:

Provide support to end-users experiencing network-related issues, offering clear and effective solutions.Develop and deliver training programs to educate end-users on network best practices and troubleshooting techniques.Foster a positive and user-friendly experience for individuals interacting with the network.Network Upgrades and Expansion:

Collaborate with network architects and engineers to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.Implement new network technologies and solutions to meet evolving business requirements.Ensure minimal disruption during network upgrades and expansions through careful planning and execution.Vendor Management:

Work with vendors to procure and implement network hardware, software, and services.Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure that vendors meet service level agreements.Collaborate with vendors on troubleshooting and issue resolution.COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, with IT audit or compliance experience, or computer science, with business and IT audit or compliance experience desiredIn-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and networking technologies.In-depth understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, etc.).Extensive experience with Cisco, Huawei, or other major network hardware vendors.CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications are highly preferredExperience:

5 years experience network engineering or a related IT role.Problem-solvingExpert level knowledge of TCP/IP stack, Intrusion detection and prevention methods, Web application and cloud computing architectures, Structured risk assessment methodologiesAn enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutionsOutstanding communication skills that go beyond “tech talk” – the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT backgroundStrong time management and organisational skills.Slills:

Excellent communication skills (written and Oral).Fluent English &Arabic languages is mandatory.Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.Knowledge of current information security trendsIT networking and programming skillsGood knowledge of network protocolsGood knowledge of physical and virtualized networking fundamentals, such as routing, switch, network configuration in VMwareAbility to test for, track, and resolve threats including malfunctions and attacks.General computer literacy (Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Knowledge of cyber laws and compliance.
