Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, minimizing downtime and extending equipment lifespan.
- Assist in the installation of new MEP systems and components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot complex MEP issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of inspections, maintenance activities, and repair work, maintaining accurate records for compliance purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest MEP technologies and best practices, integrating new methods to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all maintenance and installation activities, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Provide training and support to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing innovative ideas to enhance MEP system performance and reliability.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering from a recognized institution is essential.
- Certification in HVAC, electrical systems, or plumbing from a reputable organization demonstrates specialized knowledge.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in MEP systems is crucial for effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus for communication in diverse teams.
- Experience in commercial or industrial MEP projects is preferred for understanding diverse system requirements.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment relevant to MEP systems is necessary for effective performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure are vital for troubleshooting MEP issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A proactive approach, attention to detail, and physical stamina are key personal qualities that contribute to success in this role.
