Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to develop project timelines and coordinate MEP activities effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any potential issues with MEP systems, ensuring timely and efficient project completion.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings and specifications, to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, promoting a culture of safety among all team members and subcontractors.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures related to MEP services, providing regular updates to management on financial performance.
- Train and mentor junior MEP staff, fostering professional development and enhancing team productivity.
- Facilitate communication between different project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in MEP technologies to continuously improve processes and systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field, ensuring a solid technical foundation.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in MEP supervision or project management, demonstrating a proven track record in the field.
- Professional certifications such as LEED, PMP, or equivalent are preferred, showcasing commitment to industry standards.
- Experience in large-scale construction projects within the commercial or industrial sectors, highlighting relevant expertise.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance and minimizing project risks.
- Proficiency in industry-specific software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools to enhance project efficiency.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions with various stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges during project execution.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including construction sites, while adhering to safety standards.
