Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and execution of MEP systems for large-scale building projects. The role requires close collaboration with architects, consultants, and project teams to ensure MEP works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, review, and implementation of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) for high-rise, commercial, and residential projects.
Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system design in line with project requirements and relevant codes/standards.
Prepare, review, and approve MEP drawings, specifications, and material submittals using CAD/BIM platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent).
Ensure full coordination of MEP systems with architectural, structural, and other building services to prevent clashes and delays.
Oversee subcontractor shop drawings, method statements, and ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections, monitor installation works, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Supervise testing, commissioning, and final handover of MEP systems, ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Provide technical expertise, troubleshooting, and guidance to construction and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay updated on sustainable design practices, energy-efficient systems, and innovative MEP technologies, applying them to ongoing and future projects.
Support project managers in resource planning, cost control, and scheduling related to MEP activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement by developing internal standards, procedures, and best practices for MEP engineering.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
8 12 years of proven experience in MEP design, coordination, and execution, preferably within the GCC region.
Strong expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including design, installation, and commissioning.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other MEP design/simulation tools.
In-depth knowledge of international codes and local authority requirements for MEP works.
Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
Valid GCC Driving License required.
Age between 35 40 years preferred.
Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to dynamic project environments.
