Roles and Responsibilities

- The role also involves on-site supervision, coordination with cross-functional teams, quality control, as well as supervising testing and commissioning works.
Field Mechanical Inspector – MEP
Job Summary
The Field Mechanical Inspector – MEP is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and verifying mechanical works related to MEP systems at project sites. The role ensures that installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable codes, safety standards, and project quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Quality Inspection :
- Inspect mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, pumps, chillers, boilers, and ducting systems.
- Verify installation works against approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, UPC, etc.).
- Identify non-conformances and issue NCRs, ensuring timely corrective actions.
Field Electrical Inspector – MEP
Job Summary
The Field Electrical Inspector – MEP is responsible for inspecting and monitoring all electrical construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable electrical codes, and safety standards. The role supports quality control, safe installation, and successful completion of electrical works during the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
Site Inspection :
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical construction works including power distribution, lighting systems, cable containment, earthing and bonding, lightning protection, panels, transformers, generators, and low-current systems.
- Verify electrical installations are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, and construction schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NEC, IEC, BS, IEEE, NFPA, and local authority requirements.
- Identify installation defects and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); verify corrective actions are properly implemented.
Testing & Commissioning Support :
- Witness on-site electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, and functional tests.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities during the construction phase.
- Review test results and verify compliance with project requirements.
