Job Description

A Medical Representative plays a vital role in healthcare by acting as the primary point of contact between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals. They are responsible for promoting products, increasing product awareness, and ultimately driving sales growth for their assigned portfolio. This role requires strong communication and persuasion skills to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. Medical Representatives must be knowledgeable about the products they represent, as well as the latest medical industry trends and updates to effectively meet the needs of healthcare practitioners. This position demands a proactive attitude, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and ever-evolving industry environment. The ultimate goal is to be seen as a trusted advisor who enhances the knowledge and support of healthcare professionals when it comes to the company s products.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals in your assigned territory.
  • Organize and execute product presentations to increase awareness among healthcare providers.
  • Stay updated on existing and new medical products and the corresponding healthcare industry advancements.
  • Analyze market trends and develop strategic action plans to meet sales targets and objectives.
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and skills.
  • Submit reports to regional managers about sales activity and market feedback.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to implement strategies that enhance brand presence in the market.
  • Conduct regular visits to hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to establish strong networks.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to product usage or satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies to meet territory-specific demands.
  • Facilitate group discussions and provide educational support to healthcare professionals.
  • Manage and maintain an organized record of client interactions and sales performances.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Pharmaceuticals, Medicine, or a related field required.
  • Proven sales experience as a Medical Representative or a similar position.
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare industry and medical products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and CRM software for report generation.
