Job Description

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the face welcoming our patients and providing them with an exceptional first impression. The Medical Receptionist is vital in maintaining the flow of the healthcare facility, managing appointments, responding to patient inquiries, and ensuring that administrative functions run smoothly. You will work closely with medical staff, handle sensitive patient information with utmost confidentiality, and utilize your excellent organizational and communication skills to perform a wide range of tasks. We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented, and efficient individual who can help maintain a positive and functioning environment dynamic, supporting our commitment to outstanding patient care.


Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist with their inquiries.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently using medical software.
  • Verify patient insurance information and handle billing inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
  • Answer phone calls, handle patient inquiries, and route calls appropriately.
  • Assist with administrative tasks like filing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and medical personnel effectively.
  • Prepare and organize patient files for upcoming appointments daily.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and stocked with necessary materials.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Process payments and manage client invoices as required.
  • Support medical staff with additional administrative duties as necessary.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or an administrative role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications and medical software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
