Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for critically ill adult patients with life-threatening medical conditions.
Lead daily rounds, multidisciplinary discussions, and care planning in the MICU.
Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, mechanical ventilation, central line placement, and renal replacement therapies.
Collaborate with subspecialists including cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, and infectious diseases.
Supervise and mentor residents, fellows, and ICU staff in clinical practice.
Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based ICU protocols and guidelines.
Participate in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and international critical care guidelines.
Provide leadership in emergency and mass-casualty preparedness.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education/Qualifications Required:
- Basic medical degree from recognized institution
- Post-qualification certification
- Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
- USA: The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC)
- UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST/CESR and joined the Specialty Register
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP)
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
Experience Post-Qualifications:
Experience in clinical experience in intensive care medicine after board certification.
License:
- Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
