Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and issue weekly/monthly work schedules jointly with the Operative Maintenance Department and Field Production Department.

  • Establish the necessary resources for work execution (manpower, materials, tools, contractors, etc.).
  • Check the availability of materials in relation to the established work schedule.
  • Analyse operational feedback from completed work in order to follow up and improve maintenance plans and process performance.
  • Evaluate corrective maintenance notifications and define the execution of work orders.
  • Manage and optimise corrective, predictive, preventive and condition-based maintenance work plans.
  • Closely monitor the progress of SECE/OCE works, identifying strategies to reduce backlog.
  • Interface with contractors regarding the planned schedule, weekly/monthly/annual reports, and KPI monitoring.
  • Plan and manage turnaround activities.
  • Prepare and evaluate work breakdowns and Bills of Materials.
  • Liaise with the Materials Coordinator to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Manage the SAP database and update PMRs.
  • Issue Call-Offs, Material & Services Requests and Service Entries in the SAP system.
  • Develop planning documentation (e.g. long-term strategy, HQ reports, annual master plan, etc.).
  • Prepare and review technical documentation (e.g. purchasing plans, tender documents, maintenance procedures, contract drafts, etc.).
  • Support Root Cause Analysis by suggesting maintenance improvements.
  • Assist with cost control, invoicing, and financial matters in accordance with maintenance plans (including technical and economic budget estimations, forecast updates, Value of Work Done, and invoice registration).

Skills and experience required:

  • Technical diploma (preferably in mechanical engineering) or higher.
  • Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Significant planning experience.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in SAP system management.
  • Excellent knowledge of maintenance strategies.
  • Solid experience in mechanical, telecommunication, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting techniques.
  • Good understanding of international mechanical standards applied within the oil industry.
  • Specialist knowledge in maintenance engineering (e.g. CMMS, reporting, KPIs, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of production processes.
  • Experience in developing business plans.
  • Sound knowledge of safety fundamentals and the Code of Ethics.

You will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities in line with the established maintenance policy and programme - covering preventive, corrective and condition-based approaches - while ensuring the availability of equipment, tools and spare parts to minimise downtime and production disruptions. You will oversee the progress of works and monitor maintenance performance, as well as develop and manage planning documentation such as weekly schedules, long-term strategies and the annual master plan. Additionally, you will be expected to prepare and maintain technical documents including tender specifications, company procedures and standards, and budgeting reports.
