Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of electrical safety connection products.
- Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing to drive product innovation and improvement.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices, quality standards, and safety protocols throughout the product lifecycle.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Review and approve technical documentation, design specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring robust and reliable product performance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components that meet quality and safety requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product development strategies.
- Support the sales and customer support teams with technical expertise and product knowledge.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in team leadership or management roles.
- Extensive experience in product design, development, and testing within the electrical or safety equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as CAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Experience with quality assurance and safety compliance standards.
- Ability to work onsite and lead teams in an office environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
