Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performing planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all the activities related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of the diesel motors, air conditioning equipment, cooling, central boiler, steam providing, and heated water distribution system in a safe way for the hospital. Operating, maintaining, and repairing the water treatment station, and sewage treatment station and maintaining and repairing the other mechanical equipment and devices.
• Monitor and maintain the hospital s HVAC system including the differential pressure (isolation, OR, CSSD, IV room, IVF, etc.) areas and the specific airflow required.
• Monitor the quality of water and RO plants need assessment in specific areas such as lab, CSSD, Dialysis, etc.
• Plan and monitor the smoking management arrangements.
• Plan and monitor the sewage treatment plans.
• Preparing the work procedures manual and updating it from time to time.
• Setting up the preventive maintenance programs and persistently inspecting the equipment, devices, and stations.
• Setting up the work programs and assigning duties for technicians.
• Preparing the persistent education and training program to qualify the workers in the mechanical maintenance division.
• Coordinating with other specializations in the maintenance division to set up an integrated maintenance program in the hospital.
• Coordinating with other concerned departments in the hospital in case of water and steam turning off due to maintenance works.
• Offering assistance to the technicians working with him.
• Evaluating the staff performance and submitting the necessary recommendations.
• Providing the necessary equipment, tools, inspection devices, and spare parts necessary for maintenance, inspection, and repairs.
• Supervising the indexing, keeping the correspondence papers and catalogs related to the department.
• Attending the meetings and symposiums concerning the work.
• Submitting periodical reports about the department s activities.
• Participating in setting up the quality assurance program in the hospital and supervising the implementation of its part concerning mechanical maintenance.
• Carrying out any other tasks charged to him within his field of specialization.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 2 years experience in mechanical equipment maintenance in a hospital environment.
• CBAHI and/or JCI experience is highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD, CAM, and MATLAB/LabView programs.
• Ability to run simulations and analyze test data.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of mechanical standards specifications.
• The ability of supervision and continuous follow-up.
• The ability to set training programs and work procedures.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• The ability to communicate and establishing good relations with others.
