Mechanical Draft Man

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D/3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
• Generate detailed fabrication drawings, assembly guides, and BOMs
• Interpret rough sketches or concepts from engineers and turn them into production-ready layouts
• Apply industry-standard tolerances, GD&T, and material specs

Mechanical Workshop Management (Workshop Side)

• Supervise and coordinate all workshop activities: cutting, welding, machining, fitting, and assembly
• Manage technicians, machine operators, and support staff
• Schedule workloads, assign tasks, and ensure timely job completion
• Oversee use and maintenance of machines, tools, and measuring equipment
• Ensure proper stock control of materials and consumables

• Minimum of 5to 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman or in a similar drafting role.
• Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technical drawing standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret and work from engineering sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Familiarity with industry codes, safety standards, and best practices in mechanical drafting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office-based environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
