Mechanical BIM Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and update mechanical BIM models using software such as Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD MEP.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, structural, architectural) to ensure seamless model integration and clash-free designs.
• Review and implement project BIM execution plans and adhere to modeling standards for mechanical systems.
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, HVAC layouts, pipe networks, and equipment schedules from BIM models.
• Conduct clash detection, lead/participate in coordination meetings, and resolve design issues.
• Assist in preparing as-built models and final project documentation.
• Maintain model quality, accuracy, and compliance with project and client requirements.
• Provide support and guidance to junior BIM staff on mechanical modeling practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical BIM coordination on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM software (Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, etc.).
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical system design standards.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
