Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of diesel generators, ensuring optimal performance and identifying potential issues before they escalate.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel generators, utilizing technical expertise to implement effective repair strategies.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and component checks, to prolong generator lifespan.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve operational challenges.
  • Oversee the installation of new diesel generators and related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as a Certified Diesel Mechanic or Electrical Technician.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel generators.
  • Exhibits a proven track record in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Showcases proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to diesel generators.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of generator control systems, including PLCs and related instrumentation.
  • Displays excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
