Roles & Responsibilities

The German University in Cairo seeks applicants at the rank of Teaching Assistants within the Mathematics department. The vacancies to be filled effective September 2025.
Position Description:
The particular fields of teaching activities are:
Differential and Integral Calculus
Algebra
Ordinary Differential Equations
Discrete mathematics
Numerical Analysis, and
Statistics
It is expected that an applicant is interested in mathematics and able to professionally conduct teaching activities.
A mathematics teaching assistant assists the department head, faculty members, or other professional staff members of the mathematics department by performing teaching or teaching-related duties, such as teaching tutorial classes assigned to a lecture, developing teaching material, and preparing and conducting quizzes in corporation with the lecturer.
Qualifications:
Hold a B. Sc. in Mathematics or related filed.
Very good English and communication skills (both in scientific and social terms)
Good organizational, time management, communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately, under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
He/She should be able to guide students and effectively explain mathematical topics.
