Roles & Responsibilities

King s College Doha is seeking an outstanding Mathematics Teacher to join our Senior School team for August 2026. The successful candidate will teach pupils from Years 9 to 13 and may also take on the role of Form Tutor.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

  • Foster a love of Mathematics, a strong work ethic, and a culture of high expectations where all pupils are supported to achieve their potential.

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging, and creative lessons tailored to the needs of all learners.

  • Work collaboratively within the Mathematics Department to plan the curriculum and schemes of work.

  • Align teaching with the school s curriculum development plan and standards associated with Common Entrance and external assessments.

  • Set challenging learning goals, using a range of strategies, resources, and technologies to support pupil progress.

  • Provide regular written and verbal feedback, encouraging pupils to reflect on and respond to feedback effectively.

  • Assess, record, and report pupil achievement in line with school procedures.

  • Provide additional academic support to pupils as required.

Pastoral and Wider School Life

  • Undertake pastoral/supervisory duties, including Form Tutor responsibilities if required.

  • Contribute to the holistic development of pupils through involvement in enrichment activities.

  • Attend assemblies, departmental meetings, parents evenings, and school events.

  • Act as an exemplary role model for pupils and contribute to the school s positive image.

Curriculum Development

  • Develop innovative teaching methods to stimulate learning.

  • Create high-quality, subject-specific learning activities.

  • Assist in sourcing and managing teaching resources.

  • Ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment.

  • Analyse and act on assessment data to ensure outstanding pupil progress.

  • Regularly review personal practice and take responsibility for professional development.
